About
After facing immense challenges as parents, including a child leaving the Church and another attempting to take their life, we realized how much our family had been influenced by the world’s culture. We recognized that not listening to the prophets played a significant role in our struggles. In seeking guidance from God, we asked how to remove worldly influences and restore our family in alignment with scripture and prophetic teachings.
A dear friend suggested that we re-educate our family, particularly by addressing the shortcomings of the education system and the harmful ideologies it promotes. With society embracing values like socialism, rebellion, and relativism, we saw the need to rebuild our family from the ground up using the teachings of the gospel.
As part of this re-education, it was suggested we watch close to 400 movies on ZionTube as our ‘schooling.’ We soon began using movies as a tool to teach important lessons. Guided by the idea that films have the power to influence lives more quickly than books, we started watching movies with our children, pausing to discuss the lessons, relationships, and values portrayed. We focused on identifying Christlike attributes and comparing them to scripture and the teachings of prophets. This process helped us gradually correct the patterns of worldly thinking that had influenced our home.
By using ZionTube and other carefully selected films, we began to see positive changes in our family. We learned valuable lessons about forgiveness, love, charity, and how to navigate various situations in alignment with the gospel. The experience led us to create “Passing Down the Faith,” a program aimed at helping other families educate their children with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Through this program, we hope to offer families a way to prepare for the challenges of the world without being conformed to it, using movies that showcase the gospel and Christlike values.
Our goal is to help families strengthen their homes and prepare the next generation to live according to the teachings of the prophets and scriptures. By using movies as a tool for education, we believe families can effectively defend against the adversary and create a strong, faith-filled foundation for their children.
WHAT IS ZIONTUBE?

ZionTube is an organization dedicated to finding and organizing uplifting movies from across the Internet and then making these movies available to families in their own homes. The Internet is filled with information; some of it is critical to understanding, but most not essential—and the balance is very destructive. Of the critical information, that which is most often overlooked is inspiring and sacred. Here you will find correct principles such as:
- Righteous and sacred works ever ridiculed or made fun of.
- Good is shown as good, evil portrayed as evil
- Breaking of the law of chastity as being evil and causing heartache, sorrow, depression, and bitter consequences.
- Men and women sacrificing for others in service, and practicing great and simple deeds of benevolence.
- Heroes and heroines strive to change and become better with all their hearts, might, minds, and strength.
- Christian principles, such as freedom and liberty, upheld.
- Marriage, families, and children portrayed according to scriptures. Large families promoted, and not ridiculed. Children are respectful to their parents and authority.
- Breaking the law and living a carefree life is not glamorized.
- Christian virtues shown to be the one true path to happiness, they are looked upon as out of date, or even mocked.
- Christians do not portray a casual, buddy buddy-type relationship with Christ.
- Shows and /inspires fear of God.
- The duties, responsibilities, and roles of men and women are portrayed correctly.
- The heroes/heroines are not involved in witchcraft, sorcery, wizardry, or connection with spirits or supernatural forces which are not godly or divine, and do not work within or obey the laws of nature and nature’s God? (Remember, there is NO such thing as good magic).
Inspired by our experience, we created Passing Down the Faith, educational movie courses and workbooks to help other families strengthen their homes and teach their children the Gospel without conforming to the world. By using movies to illustrate how the Gospel works, we hope to help families prepare for the real world while staying true to their faith.
