BIBLICAL YOUNG WOMEN (MOVIE)

Do you have daughters who are hesitant about following the traditions of the world? Are they wondering what to do with their single years? When raising my first daughter the only advice I could offer her were these “traditions” of the world—college and career

Years ago I watched this documentary and as a mother in the midst of raising children and unsure of what I was doing this film impacted me—challenging my beliefs and priorities. Being involved in the education system I already knew our culture’s educational system was not the only way for a woman to be educated, but I did not have answers to what it looked like, let alone biblically. This film teaches that according to scriptures that staying at home learning from father and mother about what a daughter’s role should be as a Christian woman is okay.

I appreciate how not once are you preached to, but rather shown how the principles are working in other homes. In this film, you will clearly see the sincere happiness in the lives of these women. As my younger two daughters have embraced these scriptural teachings beginning in their teens and still now at age 20, and 22 it has piqued the interest of many people and sparked some interesting conversations. Are my girls leading boring lives? Are they just lounging around “waiting for Prince Charming”? Are they really missing out on anything? Are they prisoners in their own homes? Have they been brainwashed, or do they think and speak for themselves? Was this lifestyle forced on them, or did they choose it?

You’ll just have to watch the video and then ask my girls about their choice in “staying home!”
