    A TIME TO DANCE

As I have been learning more about who I am and my Israelite lineage—it has brought on a few personal changes in my life. One area I immediately felt drawn to learn more about was how my ancestors danced and used dance for everything. The scriptures talk about how the people would dance to rejoice, during times of hospitality and greeting one another, or at their festivals and feasts. In the last few years, we have decided to let go of our “lack of” musical talents that have kept us from singing besides at church or an…

RESCUING A SUICIDAL SON THROUGH MUSIC: WHEN THE DEVIL CAME TO VISIT

The year 2014 marked a year I will never forget, it was a year our family fell off the tracks completely when a certain visitor came knocking on our door.  Life up to this point seemed normal. We were an average family doing the normal things that other Mormon families were doing. We were strong in the faith, loyal to all the church programs, and had regular scripture reading, and family home evenings—okay, so we homeschooled which might not have been the norm— but you get the point. During this time period, we owned and operated a private LDS academy for homeschoolers. I thought by immersing ourselves in something good…
